Sophia`s Diner in Sarnia

Good food and service. I think the ladies working there thought it funny that I was there having breakfast all by my lonesome. But that's ok, I'm wierd like that, and I don't blame my girlfriend for not wanting to be seen with me dining out, I have a face only a mother could love....

Greek salad was excellent. Room was a little cold. Service was good

Had breakfast .. nice waitress .. then an older blonde female came to table to tell us our table would be needed .. we were almost finished our coffee.. had table for an hour .. kept eye on door .. never people waiting for a table .. and let me add do not look at ceiling.. majorly sick .. will NEVER go back

I just took my 2 boys out for dinner. My 1 son had the western sandwich and said it was very good.My other son ordered grilled cheese. The cheese was barely melted, he had one bite and didn't like it. I didn't blame him as it looked terrible. I told the waitress, she just said oh. I paid for my full meal, left a tip and will never be back.

The only breakfast place in town (that I know of) that gives the options of hash brown potatoes! Mixed grill breakfast platter includes sausage, ham, bacon AND (not or!) peameal bacon! 😲Excellent customer service, prompt delivery of food, and fresh coffee.Dines there with my family of 4 for $30.

Food was fine except the waiter brought me the wrong kind of eggs. Nothing special about this place but nothing bad either. It wasn't very fast and if you want a quick bite to eat I would look elsewhere.

I've been here a few times now, and found the food very tasty and good. Staff is family, and the price was affordable. Would definitely go again.

Friendly staff and affordable food. While I haven’t yet visited for dinner, Sophia’s is one of my regular “go-to’s” in town when going for breakfast with family or meeting a friend. Park right across the road to let the kids play afterwards as well.

Sophia's Diner is located on Ontario Street and Russel St, right by Tecumseh Park. This popular place was fairly full in the morning. Provided fast friendly service. The coffee was great, and refills kept coming, which was much appreciated. Decent WiFi available. When the food came out it was hot and delicious. The breakfast here was above and beyond my expectations. The shredded potatoes really balanced out the plate; non-greasy and a nice change from hash browns. Food was well prepared, and exactly as I had asked. Will have to come back and try out the lunch menu. Couldn't be more happy.

It’s a decent breakfast place. It is a tad higher priced (but worth it) than others but a good serving none the less. I seen some people complain about the waitress not coming enough and it has happened but for the most part they are good. The soups are my favourite, being simple ingredients is my preference. Stopped off for breakfast while on our way to the airport. This is an excellent little diner. Great breakfast deal...under five bucks for bacon, two eggs, hash browns and toast! Service was super. They rushed our breakfast knowing we had a flight to catch.

Service is awesome, very friendly, courteous staff & observant to their customers needs. Not rushed at all. Breakfast was good. Prices are average. I would come back for sure.

Worst service I've had in a restaurant here in Sarnia. Food wasnt much better, why eat here when there are at least 15 better options within 5km

Really enjoyed the food. Home cooking at it's best. Clean resturant,little cold but all in all great meal.

Friendly staff good food. No change table in men's bathroom. Very disappointed went there a few times and never noticed until my baby had a poopy having to wait until the bathroom was empty and locking the door behind be is not my cup of tea. Won't be going back until the problem is corrected. I'll also edit my review back to five stars and write a stunning review if the manager corrects this problem quickly

Only been there a couple times but enjoyed both times. From what I'm told, it is owned by the same people that own Nick's out on The Golden Mile and we have yet to have a bad meal there .

It's truly awesome. Meals are large and well prepared. Service is excellent. Love the place.

Food looked pricey but the portions were large. Looks rundown from the tables, chairs and floors but food was delicious and cooked perfectly.

The wait staff is absolutely delightful and patient, the food is pretty good but the owners son (one of the cooks) should not be working there, he's a complete a-hole. His temper and the way he treats the wait staff is very unpleasant, He made our experience uncomfortable. One of the guest's was brave enough to get up and say something and the whole diner broke out in applause. I would go again but only to support the wait staff!

We had breakfast this morning! It was one of the best breakfasts in town! Great food good service. Cooked fresh when you order it! They get the toast right! I remember this place!

We went here because the parking lot was always full of old people. Pretty much as expected; good prices for the exact type of food you'd expect. Not disappointed.

One of my favorite diners. Intimate, food is great, service is great. I especially like the size of the place. If my coffee is low, I'm not trying to signal a waitress 1 mile away, their usually just a few feet away. Love this place!

In my opinion Sophia's Diner has the best 2 piece fish dinner in town. They make their own batter and coleslaw. The staff is friendly and courteous and it doesn't take forever to get your food

Clean place with attentive service. Pancakes are huge and fluffy - I couldn't finish all 3 but tried hard. Husband had home fries which where fresh cut real fresh potatoes. Very good (I pinched a few). He also asked for a toasted cheese lettuce and tomato sandwich instead of a BLT and it was provided.
